While some of our databases allow any registered user to create an entry, most only allow users who have received prior authorization to create and edit content. This can create a delay of a day or two, but we consider it important to the integrity of the virtual center, especially during our initial launch. In a future release, we hope to speed this step up. Once you submit a new listing, it will be added immediately to our directory. However, depending on the database, there may be a delay while we review and approve it. Please bear in mind that we are largely a volunteer organization.
To update a listing, you must log in with the same ID you used to create the listing. If you open a listing that you created, you will see an edit link. Click and make your changes. Please note that some forms have to be re-approved after editing before they show up again in the public listing.
Only one user can “own” a listing. If you want to transfer control of a listing from one person to another, open the listing and click the Customer Service / Feedback button. One of the options is to request a change in ownership of the listing. Fill it out and submit it. Allow 1-3 days for us to make the change (we currently remain an all-volunteer organization).
