So What’s the Story?: A Queer-Women’s Story-Telling Circle

August 4 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

This is a chance for queer women to share their adventures/loves/lives through storytelling, to connect and continue to build our community. Guidelines are below, and our theme for the first night is (choose either): “Losing My Religion,” or “Losing My Virginity.”

Sunday, July 21st and August 4th at 5 PM (Asheville location to be announced after sign-up).

A few guidelines:
–Each story should be six minutes or less (approximately 800 words or less).
— Funny stories can be just as meaningful as serious ones. One or more of these questions should be answered: How did you change? What did you learn? What was your moment of realization or transformation?
–Any story is fine as long as you tell it with honesty and vulnerability while leaving out your rants. No speeches, opinions, or social commentary.
— Although some stories could make us sad or vulnerable, we expect that you had enough distance from the event that you’ll have perspective on it.
–We will limit our circle to 12 participants in a private setting. We ask that if you do sign up, you will make a firm commitment to attend!
