Blue Ridge Pride is expanding way beyond our annual festival.
Together with two other organizations (Tranzmission and Youth OUTRight) we opened an LGBTQ Center in Asheville – a first since the 1990s.
We are forming a consortium to explore a larger center — one that includes an LGBTQ shelter.
We are piloting a Virtual LGBTQ Center for Western North Carolina. Rural LGBTQ communities struggle with their isolation. People can’t access services. Service providers find it hard to reach their audience. We hope to build a center that is a model for rural communities across America.
And that’s just for starters. We have many others plans underway. We could use your help.
Patrons of Pride are investors in our community’s future. We apply all proceeds either to programs like those above, or to grants to partners that serve western North Carolina’s LGBTQA community. We have NO paid staff; we pay NO fundraising commissions.
The table below outlines our Patron of Pride program. While it highlights the benefits to patrons, the real benefits go to our community.
