Blue Ridge Pride envisions a thriving LGBTQA community in Western North Carolina that welcomes and elevates us all. We advocate, celebrate, educate and serve – through our own programs, and through support and partnership with like-minded organizations serving our community. We have established the Blue Ridge Pride Community Partnership Fund to make it easy for such organizations to apply for grants and for community donors to support their efforts.
Eligibility: To be eligible, applicants must have a 501(c)(3) non-profit status as described by the IRS or be able to demonstrate that they function as a 501(c)(3). Grant-funded projects must demonstrate a benefit to the WNC LGBTQA community.
Timing: Our application deadlines this year are June 30, September 30, and December 31. Decisions will be made and announced three weeks after the deadline month. Organizations may apply once each quarter.
Grant Amounts: Each quarter, we set a funding target based on available funds. During our launch phase, grants will be modest: $250 to $500 per grant. We will increase the number and size of grants as the fund grows in size.
Apply for a Grant: Just tell us five things: 1. Who is your targeted audience? 2. What need are you trying to address? 3. What is your targeted impact? 4. Why your organization? 5. Why your approach?
Green Man Brewery Spreads the LUV!
We are excited to announce a new partnership with Green Man Brewery. Green Man has just launched a new, light-bodied IPA that is aptly named LUV ALL. Green Man has generously offered to donate ALL profits from the sale of LUV ALL to the Blue Ridge Pride Community Partner Fund.
Says Dennis Thies, owner of Asheville’s second oldest brewery, “Green Man hopes that putting this product on every shelf it can reach will reinforce the idea that we are stronger as a community when we come together as our authentic selves. This is true for the LGBTQ+ community; it is true for all of our community.”
The beer is available now on draft in Green Man’s taproom at 22 Buxton Avenue in Asheville and at select area bars and grocery stores.
We will begin reporting of grants awarded after fund’s first quarter.
